Tender memories, intense emotions, intimate thoughts, dark fears captivated into the boxes of our minds. In this collection, the human heart, the symbol of these intangible aspects, is protected in a refuge that is stable, yet malleable and penetrable, able to conceal or exile what’s inside.

This shelter is embodied in the form of a crocheted cocoon, providing a safe still frightening environment, created out of need and not by choice: a heart’s refuge.
